Crisis and Disaster Management Unit:

It is a unit specialized in managing crises and disasters by dealing with the crisis before it occurs, it includes the discovery of early warning signals that predict the imminent occurrence of the crisis and the delivery of those signals to plan and prepare for facing the crisis and deal with it when it occurs. It also includes the activities following the occurrence of the crisis and facing it, planning to restore activity, learning and drawing lessons Learned.  the unit includes a distinguished work team to manage those crises.

The Vision:

The unit seeks to achieve excellence in the field of crisis management by providing an effective internal crisis management system to achieve the highest levels of security and safety for individuals and property before, during and after crises.

The Mission:

 Developing and implementing the necessary plans for crisis management and adopting effective measures to predict the occurrence of crises and effectively confront the crisis, which ensures the provision of security and safety for the human component and the faculty facilities in order to stabilize the internal faculty community.

Strategic Goals:

General objective: 

Achieving safety and security standards and protecting lives and property.

Specific objectives:

1. Predicting the forms and types of crises and disasters expected to occur within the faculty.

2. Take preventive measures to prevent or reduce the occurrence of crises entirely.

3. Preparing plans and drawing scenarios for dealing with potential crises.

4. Spread cultural awareness for crisis and disaster management and how to implement confrontation and relief work.

5. Preparing leaders and cadres qualified to face crises in the faculty.

6. Work to provide and update early warning and monitoring devices.

7. Transfer and exchange of experiences and successful experiences in the vicinity of Alexandria University in the field of facing crises and disasters, whether they are natural or as a result of emergency conditions.

8. Coordination and cooperation with the Occupational Safety and Health Committee in order to secure the college facilities against fires, disasters and crises.
