Objectives

Objectives:

Develop and enhance knowledge and skills of student nurses in the care of clients with various psychiatric disorders.
Develop skills of student nurses to utilize the concepts of psychiatric nursing in the different areas of nursing practice.
Emphasize the concept of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention in the care of patients with psychiatric disorders.
Develop a more positive attitude towards patients with psychiatric disorders.
Provide continuing education programs for nurses working in the field of psychiatric nursing.
Conduct researches aiming at expanding knowledge and improving practice of psychiatric nursing.
