The department was established as a first department of the Higher Institute of Nursing, Alexandria University in 1955. The department pertain the study of concepts, principles and skills that apply in different health care settings. In addition, concentrate on the development of leadership and communication skills in management of nursing care. The development also holds various workshops for the faculty members inside and outside the Faculty, scientific research in the field of nursing administration as quality of health care, leadership and communication, performance appraisal, management of human resources for improvement efficiency and effectiveness of quality of patient care.
